BATANGAS CITY - The Federation of Sangguniang Kabataan in Batangas city continues to promote activities or programs that will promote the welfare of the youth during the pandemic.

In the Network Briefing news held last Nov. 12, Batangas City SK Federation President Marjorie Manalo said that SK is partnering with the city government in promoting the “Suporta Kabataan para sa Kinabukasan” program with two parts. First is the distribution of face masks, face shields and alcohol to public junior and senior high school students in the city. The second is the distribution of free wifi, printers and bond papers in 105 barangays covered by the city.



“Dahilan po sa pandemic, ang mga mag-aaral ay nasa ilalim ng modular o blended learning system kung kaya’t ang mga kagamitang ito ay inaasahang makakatulong sa kanila. Ito ay nasa pangangalaga ng mga SK President ng bawat barangay at halos lahat ay nagkaisa na magkaroon ng programang “free printing “ gamit ang mga kagamitang ito at tunay na malaking tulong sa mga kapwa kabataang nag-aaral”, program using these tools and a real big help to fellow young students.

Apart from this program, Youth Week was also celebrated recently where various activities were launched for the benefit of the youth in the city.



The theme of the festival is "Youth Engagement and Empowerment in this New Normal" which aims to show the youth that many activities can be carried out despite the pandemic.

Some of these are conducting webinars attended by young people such as Online Entrepreneurship Training, Agricultural webinar; Inter-Barangay Mobile Legends Tournament; Personality Development and Values ​​formation which is very important to young people; Yout Empowerment Webinar; SK Got Talent Season 3 which is in its third year of being done to showcase the talent of the Batangueno youth; bloodletting activity in partnership with the Red Cross and recognizing the unique student in the city of Batangas.



Finally, Manalo sent a message to the Batangueno youth that although there is a pandemic, it is not an obstacle to stop their dreams, it is important to study hard and he reminded that vaccination is important to protect the youth in COVID-19. virus.
