Tanza ranks 9th in province with active cases down at 26

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – The municipality of Tanza through the Rural Health Unit recorded a total of 26 Active cases as of Thursday, November 11, 2021 with the town at 9th place among the cities/towns with the most number of Active CoViD-19 cases in the province.

The expansive conduct of vaccination rollouts highly contributed to the continued decline in the number of cases recorded coupled with more patients recovering from the disease.

Rural Health Officer Dr. Ruth Punzalan on behalf of the local government expressed her gratitude to the national and provincial government for the provision of sufficient supply of CoViD-19 vaccines which were distributed to around 3K to 5K doses daily.

She urged all Tanzeños who have not yet registered for the CoViD-19 vaccination to register for the vaccination since there is ample supply of all CoViD-19 brands that are authorized for the immunization.

“This is the time to register for the vaccination because we have plenty of available CoViD-19 vaccines,” urged Punzalan.

To be able to attain the goal of herd immunity at the soonest possible time, the RHU targets to distribute a total of 11,000 jabs per day.

Meanwhile, the local government is currently coordinating with the schools’ administrations for the efficient assessment and processing to speed up the town’s Pediatric vaccination.

Despite the decline in recorded positive cases, the RHU continues to remind the public to continue observing the minimum health standards including the mandatory wearing of face shields that serve as additional protection against infection of the CoViD-19.

The medical officer also advised that patients that are confirmed positive with CoViD-19 and their close contacts should go to the isolation facility to protect their families and avoid further spread of the disease. — Ruel Francisco, PIA Cavite/GG
