ANGONO, Rizal - Like Pililla, one of the Philippines' largest solar farms, Windmills will be built in Pinugay, Baras, and Rizal. This confirms the signing of the renewable energy project by provincial and municipal officials and investors.

The signing was witnessed by Gov. Nini Ynares, officials from the Baras Municipal Government led by Mayor Kathrine Robles, PH Renewables, Inc. (Global Business Power) led by President Jaime Azurin, and other guests at the Rizal Capitol.

A 115 MW solar power plant will be built in Brgy. Pinugay, under the terms of the agreement with a total area of 130 hectares, is one of the Philippines' largest solar farms.

Rizal Governor Nini Ynares stated in her message that the project, which is promoted by the Rizal Provincial Government under the YES Program, will bring cheap electricity and a clean environment.

"Inaasahang magbibigay ng trabaho sa mga Rizaleño ang nasabing proyekto at maaaring maging isang tourist attraction ang naturang solar farm tulad na lang ng itinayong Wind Farm (Mills) sa bayan ng Pililia noong panahon ni dating governor Jun Ynares, M.D.," said Gov. What.

The said project is expected to be completed, and its operation will begin before the end of the year. (with reports from Rizal Province Official FB account)
