ANTIPOLO, Rizal - “Layunin ng YULA na magkaroon at maibahagi yung mga livelihood program mula sa city government of Antipolo. Syempre ni-re-request po natin yan, tulad ng soap-making, dressmaking, perfume making, meat processing, bag making,”

This was the statement made by Barbara J. Paguigan, president of the San Luis YULA, during the recent oath-taking ceremony for the officers of the Ynares Unified Ladies Association (YULA) and Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) in front of the Barangay Hall of Barangay San Luis.



The oath taking ceremony, which was conducted by San Luis Barangay San Luis Barangay Chief Crisol Cate, Sr., included 16 Sitio Presidents and San Luis officers, Michael Leyva, Angie Tapales and Marife Pimentel, councilors from Antipolo, were present for the ceremony.

President of the San Luis YULA Barbara J. Paguigan, President and General Secretary of the Barangay San Roque YULA Rosita Cera, President of the Barangay San Jose YULA and former Kagawad Tess Santos, President of the Barangay Inarawan YULA Jennifer Encilla, and the Sitio Dao YULA Coordinator Miriam Rodriguez, all participated in the oath-taking.



“Yung mga kababaihan po natin gumagawa rin sila ng mga basahan. Meron ding urban gardening o pagtatanim ng mga gulay gulay. Lumipat sila mula plantitas at plantitos. Ang ginagawa nila (ngayon) yung pinakikinabangan. Mga gulay sa paligid ninyo na pwedeng pagkain, gagawing ulam.” said Paguigan.

YULA seeks to support the Antipolo City women. In any area, including employment, education, and training.



“Nais din po naming magkaroon ng kooperatiba. Yung pagpapa utang. Yun po ang inilalatag namin upang yun po mapag-usapan. Sana maipamahagi yung mga ganyang klaseng programa ng mga grupo naming kababaihan dito sa San Luis,” said Paguigan.

“Nais din po naming manawagan doon sa mga may kakayahan na mag donate ng mga pwedeng gawing proyekto sa mga kababaihan. Sa ganoon ay makatulong ito sa kanilang mga tahanan. Kasi ang pangkabuhayan po dumaan tayo sa pandemic. Nais po sana naming magkaroon ng kaunting pagkakakitaan sa loob ng tahanan para makatulong din po sa ating mga asawa.” Paguigan added.

Sitio presidents who took part in the oath-taking are Mary Jhoy Pedroso of Sitio Padiheights; Jocelyn Sapinit, Sitio Kalupa, Mary Grace Ulanday, Sitio Corville; Hilda Abing, Sitio Biong; Laura Duran, Sitio Bermuda; Marilou Maasim, Sitio Dao; Emilie Lobos, Sitio Samba Homes; Melissa Katrina Cabarubia, Sitio Antipolo Hills; Lean Cuenca, Peace Village Phase 1; Marina Gonzales, Peace Village Phase 2; Estelita Anderson, Peace Village Phase 3; Dolores Lactason, Sitio Culasisi; Annaly Tropa, Sitio Kaybagsik; Nena Malinao, Sitio Patnubay 2 and Grace Palad, Sitio Kaysipot.
