BIÑAN CITY, Laguna - National Dental Health Month is observed every February. This month, Biñan's City Health Office 1 is focusing on the importance of teaching children that good dental health begins when they are young and should continue throughout their lives.

In conjunction with the celebration, the city government here organized a dental caravan for students at a Daycare Center.

Dr. Mirabelle M. Benjamin, Biñan City Health Officer who led the dental caravan said the caravan was spearheaded by the Biñan City Lone District Representative Len Alonte in collaboration with the Alagang Len Program and Biñan Dental Club.

The caravan was spearheaded by Biñan City Lone District Representative Len Alonte in collaboration with the Alagang Len Program and Biñan Dental Club, according to Dr. Mirabelle M. Benjamin, Biñan City Health.

Rep. Alonte stressed the importance of having clean and healthy teeth in a message.

"Oral health is a vital component of overall wellbeing, and strong dental habits helps children keep healthy and strong teeth," the official said.

Furthermore, dental club dentists Dr. Hazel Joven, Dr. Charito Martinez, and Dr. Charles De Castro provided dental check-ups and fluoride applications.

In addition, the club teaches students proper brushing and dental care techniques. Each student received a free toothbrush at the end of the program.

Since 1951, the National Dental Health Month has been celebrated to raise awareness about the proper care of our teeth and the importance of dental health to our overall health.
