BACOOR CITY, Cavite - The newly constructed Molino-Daang Hari Flyover has finally been opened to the public, providing a much-needed solution to the heavy traffic congestion in the area. This modern infrastructure project is expected to significantly improve the daily commute for thousands of motorists, reducing travel time and enhancing overall road safety.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) opened the 531-meter Molino-Daang Hari Flyover in Bacoor, Cavite, to the public on December 12. The project is estimated to cost ₱701 million and was completed within the scheduled timeframe. The DPWH is also currently proposing an additional ₱765 million to make the said flyover four lanes.

According to the Regional Director of the DPWH, the flyover is expected to shorten the flight time to neighboring towns by 15–30 minutes. The flyover will provide a more efficient and convenient route for commuters, reducing congestion and promoting smoother traffic flow.

Following the flyover's opening, internet users commented that the additional lanes were necessary to accommodate the growing number of vehicles in the area. Some also expressed their hope that the flyover will alleviate traffic problems and improve overall transportation in Bacoor, Cavite.

If it can be recalled that the city administrator of Bacoor announced the questioning of the locals regarding the allegedly overdue construction project in a letter shared this past October, it is evident that the completion of the flyover has been long-awaited by the residents.

According to reports in 2016, the project received an initial budget of P240 million. The project received an extra P311 million in 2018 and another P150 million in 2022.

The DPWH intends to propose an extra P765 million for the project, which will be a four-lane flyover. The additional funds will be used to complete the remaining civil work for the additional lanes as well as the acquisition of road right-of-way.
