TIAONG, QUEZON — A brighter school year awaits over 25,000 students in Tiaong, as the municipal government, under the leadership of Mayor Vincent RJ Mea and Vice Mayor Dick Umali, today completed a widespread free school supplies program. This massive distribution provided essential academic tools to 25,013 public school students across the municipality, aiming to significantly ease financial burdens on families and ensure every student is well-equipped for a productive academic year.

The program, dubbed "Bayanihan Para sa Edukasyon," kicked off with a ceremony at Bukal Elementary School. The comprehensive distribution benefits 13,772 elementary students and 11,241 high school students. Mayor Mea was present at the kick-off, joined by members of the Sangguniang Bayan, LGU Department Heads, SK Federation President Kenneth Obispo, and ABC President Kap. Noime Guevarra. The Sangguniang Barangay of Bukal, led by Kapitan Nonong Amante, also attended the event.

Another key distribution was held at Hilirang Buli Elementary School, where Mayor Mea was accompanied by Executive Assistant Diego Mea, and Councilors Tom Ilao, Rex Bautista, Jonas Atienza, and Alvin De Villa. SK Federation President Kenneth Obispo and ABC President Kap. Noime Guevarra were also present, alongside the entire Sangguniang Barangay of Lagalag. To the delight of the students at both Bukal and Hilirang Buli, free McDonald's burgers and juice were distributed, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the day.

The widespread effort was met with profound appreciation from parents, teachers, and community members. Mayor Mea emphasized the municipality's commitment to youth development. "We firmly believe that by equipping our students with the right resources, we are empowering them to achieve their fullest potential," he stated. Vice Mayor Umali highlighted the seamless collaboration between local government units and educational institutions that ensured the program's efficient execution.

The local government extended its sincere gratitude to Principal Rosalie Baira (Head Teacher III) and all the dedicated teachers of Hilirang Buli Elementary School, as well as Gng. Guada De Jesus and the staff of Bukal Elementary School, for their warm reception and full cooperation. This initiative underscores Tiaong's continuous dedication to fostering a more equitable learning environment, reinforcing the belief that education is the key to a stronger future for the youth of Tiaong.
