AGDANGAN, Quezon — Agdangan is stepping up efforts to make its tourism industry stronger and more vibrant, as the Tourism Council recently gathered local resort owners to foster collaboration and innovation. The event brought together resort owners, local officials, and stakeholders to plan ways to improve the municipality’s tourism sector.

As a direct result of this gathering, the association now helps resort owners coordinate efforts, share best practices, and work with the local government on tourism programs and environmental compliance. Through this partnership, resort owners aim to launch projects that will attract more visitors and showcase the town’s natural and cultural attractions.

Carmelo Lawas, Environmental Monitoring Officer from the DENR Provincial Environment Management Unit (PEMU), highlighted the importance of the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC). He explained that resorts obtain an ECC to follow environmental rules and operate responsibly.

Mayor Venchie C. Aguilar expressed her gratitude to participants, stressing that a united and well-organized community of resort owners drives more visitors to Agdangan and strengthens the town’s tourism industry. She also emphasized that sustainable practices ensure tourism benefits both the community and the environment.

Looking ahead, the local government will continue collaborating with resort owners to grow the town’s tourism sector and build a stronger tourism community. Officials are also launching promotional campaigns and training programs to further enhance Agdangan’s reputation as a top tourist destination.
