DOLORES, Quezon - In a move to empower local farmers and entrepreneurs, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) successfully conducted a training session on “Drip Coffee in Bulk Packaging” for the D Aroma Rural Improvement Club in Dolores, Quezon, on November 5, 2025. The training is part of OPA’s Agri-Based Food Product Development Program, which aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices and enhance community livelihoods.
Led by OPA’s Food Processing Unit in partnership with the Crop Production Development Division and the Dolores LGU, the session focused on processing, packaging, and marketing techniques to boost the local coffee industry. Participants learned how to effectively package drip coffee for bulk sales while maintaining high quality to meet growing market demand.
“The goal is to enhance livelihood opportunities and promote sustainable practices in agriculture, ultimately improving the economic stability of our rural communities,” said an OPA representative. The initiative aligns with the provincial government’s commitment to rural enterprise development.
The D Aroma Rural Improvement Club expressed its gratitude for the support provided by the Quezon Provincial Government. They emphasized their appreciation for the ongoing guidance, resources, and training programs that have helped them refine their skills and expand their business potential.
“We are thankful for the continuous assistance, especially for the hands-on support and expert advice we’ve received, which has been invaluable in helping us grow our operations. With the knowledge we’ve gained, we are excited to expand and refine the products we create,” a club representative shared.
This training is part of a series of initiatives by OPA to foster entrepreneurship and sustainability in Quezon’s rural areas. The program helps farmers and local businesses thrive by providing the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in competitive markets, while promoting sustainable practices and fostering stronger community networks.
