ALABAT, Quezon — Coming off their medal-winning performances, athletes from Alabat received ₱82,000 in cash incentives from the Municipal Government of Alabat in recognition of their recent competitive achievements. The cash rewards formed part of the municipality’s continuing effort to motivate athletes and sustain a strong local sports program under the leadership of Mayor Eizelle “Ays” M. Avellano-Canimo.
The municipal government distributed the incentives based strictly on the medals earned by athletes in officially recognized competitions. This performance-based allocation ensured that each athlete received a reward corresponding directly to competitive results.
Under the approved incentive scheme, gold medalists received ₱5,000 each for first-place finishes in their respective events. Silver medalists received ₱3,000 each, while bronze medalists were granted ₱1,000 for podium finishes.
Athlete Aira Joy Mascariña received ₱15,000 after securing three medals across different events during the competition period. Her multiple-medal performance made her the highest individual recipient among the awardees.
Other members of the Alabat delegation received incentives amounting to ₱5,000, ₱3,000, or ₱1,000 depending on the medals they earned in competition. Each amount directly reflected the athlete’s final standing.
Aside from the cash incentives, the team’s coach received a personal gift from the town mayor as a gesture of appreciation for dedication to athlete development. The recognition acknowledged the coach’s leadership and guidance in preparing the team for competitive success.
