SARIAYA. Quezon - Teachers, school heads and non-teaching personnel in Sariaya received recognition during the Gawad Sadyaya 2026 program held in the municipality. The ceremony gathered district supervisors, principals and school personnel to recognize educators and workers serving public schools across Sariaya.

Mayor Marivic T. Gayeta attended the event alongside Dr. Lorena Walangsumbat, officer-in-charge assistant schools division superintendent, and Sariaya East District Supervisor Carlito Gunay. Principals, teachers and education partners from different schools across Sariaya also participated in the gathering.

The awards program highlighted the work of educators and school workers serving students in public schools across the municipality. Organizers said the recognition aimed to strengthen support for teachers and school communities.

In her remarks, Gayeta described the program as a tribute to people serving in the education sector with dedication and compassion. She said educators continue to play a major role in guiding students and strengthening the local education system.

Gayeta also thanked teachers for the sacrifices they continue to make in guiding and supporting students inside the classroom. She said educators remain among the strongest influences in helping young people prepare for the future.

The local government said continued support for education remains part of the municipality’s development priorities. The program concluded with recognition activities and messages of appreciation for education workers in Sariaya.
