SAN ANTONIO, Quezon — Grief often brings difficult choices for families already coping with the loss of a loved one. Seeking to ease one of those burdens, the Municipal Government of San Antonio distributed burial assistance to 35 beneficiaries from different barangays through a program designed to help residents facing unexpected loss.
Mayor Erick M. Wagan led the distribution of burial assistance through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Geneveve Gonzales. The program provided timely financial support to bereaved families as they faced funeral expenses that often arise with little warning.
For the recipients, the assistance represented more than financial aid because it helped lessen one of the immediate challenges families face after a death. It also underscored how local assistance programs can provide timely support when households confront unforeseen hardship.
The beneficiaries came from different barangays across San Antonio, reflecting the municipality's effort to make government assistance accessible to qualified residents throughout the town. The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office carried out the distribution as part of its continuing delivery of financial assistance to families requiring immediate intervention during difficult circumstances.
Funeral costs often place additional pressure on households already dealing with the emotional weight of losing a family member. The burial assistance offers practical relief that helps families focus on laying their loved ones to rest while easing part of the financial burden brought by an unexpected loss.
