Duterte’s Kitchen was said to be inspired by a project of President Rodrigo Duterte when he was still mayor of Davao City. Duterte’s Kitchen propelled its first outlet in Cubao, Quezon City last October 2016.

According to PDP-Laban national executive Director Glen Badon, Duterte’s kitchen is the idea of House Speaker Pantaleon, in accordance with President Rodrigo Duterte’s  national feeding program advocacy for the homeles , primarily aimed at ending hunger and to fight malnutrition in the country. With the slogan “Wala Nang Matulog Ng Gutom (No One Will Sleep Hungry),”

Duterte’s Kitchen is a Non-Governmental organization project with the help of other organizations like the New Gateway Eagle Club, the United President Duterte Group, Soka Gakkai International-CDO, One CDO, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), and other anonymous groups.
