Mauban Youth Heritage Advocate leads Summer Youth Camp for Heritage and Environment

MAUBAN, Quezon - Mauban Youth Heritage Advocates (MYHA) through president, Mark Jethro Novio partners with different organizations to hold the 2 Days Summer Youth Camp at Villa Celerina Farm and Resort, Sitio Tejero, Brgy. Lual Bo. Mauban, Quezon on April 24-25, 2019 with 48 participants coming from Sariaya, Tayabas and Mauban.

Partner Organizations are Quezon Provincial Heritage Council Inc. (QPCHI), Tanggol Kalikasan Inc., Julie Cox Love Mission and Mauban Heritage Advocates (MHA). The Youth Camp started with the tour of Mauban followed by the opening program. Afternoon sessions were about lectures and discussion on Heritage and Environment facilitated by John Kerby T. Calucin, Teacher and member of MHA and QPCHI.

The evening was allotted for the Talent Search which was judged by Julie Cox, Vice President of QPCHI and Director Felino Tañada. It was then followed by a 45 minute Free Film showcasing Hermano Pule courtesy of Director Feliño Tañada.Second day was about another tour followed by Team Building and Palaro ng Lahi facilitated by the President of QPHCI Danny Mafiotte De Luna. Financial and moral support also poured in from MHA lead by Atty. Bella Putong.

Lunch was a boodle fight feast among the partner organization, youth participants and their respective advisers.Closing program was about the recognition of outstanding participants, awarding of talent search winners and distribution of certificates of participation. Julie Cox suggested the conduct of a feasibility study for the next venue of the Summer Youth Camp 2020, as well as the mobilization for transportations support of the youth participants.

Kevin Pabulayan, member of Oplan Sagip Tulay (OST) of Tayabas City, congratulated MYHA and QPCHI for the learnings of the OST delegates which will be share to other members who were not able to attend the Youth Camp.
