Relic of St. John Paul II (PNA)


LIPA CITY, Batangas - The Pilgrimage of the National Youth Cross (NYC) and Relic of St. John Paul II is set to be held from August 10-31, 2019.

During this 2019 Year of the Youth, the nationwide pilgrimage of the National Youth Cross and the Relic of St. John Paul II hopes to bring God's love to the young, who are His BELOVED sons and daughters. GIFTED with many blessings, they are EMPOWERED by the Father to actively respond to the call of MISSION.

This nationwide pilgrimage also endeavors to be a meaningful moment for the Church, in her various levels, to gather entire Church communities and pray with and pray with and for young people

According to James Bryan V. Garcia, MOPCY Coordinator, they have prepared a proposed itinerary for the scheduled visit of camps/bases having the most active youth ministries. The Military Ordinate of the Philippines (MOP) through Most Rev. Oscar Jaime L. Florencio, DD Bishop, MOP and Youth Director, MOPCY Fr. (MAJ) Pablo R. De Guzman, is extending assistance on transferring and welcoming both the National Youth Cross and the Relic of St. John Paul II from and to the concerned camps.

The CBCP- Episcopal Commission on Youth has likewise provided more information on the pilgrimage, the proposed detailed itinerary, some basic information on the cross and the support for the needed pilgrimage.

The proposed itinerary which is still subject to change based on what will be discussed by the chaplains from the host camps, is as follows:
