TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - In a COVID-19 update report of Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla, a 76-year old resident of Bacoor died on Friday, March 19, 2020 from the Corona Virus Disease, the first fatality of COVID-19 in Cavite.

Governor Remulla reminded the elderly and senior citizens particularly those with health issues to be extra careful.

"Senior citizens are at risk. Please don't go out and bring the virus home with you," Gov. Remulla reiterated.

As of 1 PM of March 23, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) COVID-19 Case Tracker-Cavite listed that the total of number of confirmed cases in the whole province of Cavite is now 14.

In addition, the cumulative number of patients under investigation (PUIs) since January 23 is 265 while persons under monitoring (PUMs) is 4,883.

The PHO is calling on Cavite residents to stay home, "Huwag tayong maging sanhi ng pagkalat ng COVID-19."

(Don't be a cause for the spread of COVID-19.)

Meanwhile, the provincial government of Cavite in coordination with the local governments of the cities and municipalities of the province together with the Philippine National Police are vigilant and relentless in strictly implementing the guidelines set for the enhanced community quarantine to stop the spread of COVID-19.

As a result, 586 violators were arrested recently in the different cities and municipalities in the province. The city of Imus has the highest number of arrests with 116, followed by the city of Gen.
