According to a news article from Rappler on June 10, 2020, DOJ will pursue charges vs Anakpawis activists earlier cleared under the public health law. Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said activists will be arraigned this month for inciting to sedition and usurpation of authority.

Genuinely baffling, especially in a time like this. Why not address the root cause of this suffering so that in the future we will no longer be compensating the perpetrators of terrorism? The Terror Bill is basically just a cheese way to have more power over people. They don't even need a warrant to arrest you.

This Bill may stops the recruitment of your children into the ranks of the CPP-NPA-NDF. But this is also the same bill that can also jail people for up to fourteen days without any warrant for mere suspicion. Those in the opposition, such as activists and rights groups, have been constantly red-tagged by the administration, and this bill would only make it easier for the government to crack down on critics.

Red-tagged is so 1950s. It never worked. It's not going to work now. But the answer is not to throw our country into greater turmoil by ousting our president. Not only the President but also the Senators who won only by dancing. We can't actually blame the masses as they were desperate for change since they felt that the past Presidents were incompetent. President used it as a leverage to get the votes of Filipinos and got elected because he projected the "Tatay" image. Either we like it or not, the Bill is already in the hand of the President! We have something to do with the Anti-terror Bill and Mass Testing.

It's a bill that is already approved during its final reading. Now the choice is in the hands of President, I highly doubt he'd exercise veto though because he's clearly in favor of this Bill. It's merely about oppressing the Filipino's rights to freedom of speech. They will tag you as a terrorist if you will criticize the government and you can be jailed for 12 years to lifetime imprisonment. People are protesting to junk this bill so it won't be submitted as an official Bill.

#JUNKTERRORBILL NOW. To address the root of the rebellion. This is the only way to put an end to it. Anyone who expresses dissent can be tagged as a terrorist by the government. I was just using the critics as an example of those who would be affected if this bill were passed because they are usually targeted by the government.

It's strange. People who are trying to exercise their democratic right to protest are being labeled Communists by people who are openly consorting with real Communists.

So you're not even allowed to "write" criticism anymore? It's not exactly easy to tell when someone has provoked dissension that has the intention of causing harm. Our police are not mind-readers to read intent. (Sec. 9. Inciting to Commit Terrorism. - Any person 20 who, without taking any direct part in the commission of 11 1 terrorism, shall incite others to the execution of any of the 2 acts specified in Section 4 hereof by means of speeches, 3 proclamations, writings, emblems, banners or other 4 representations tending to the same end, shall suffer the 5 penalties of imprisonment of twelve 12 years ). While terrorism excludes dissent and protest, it does not exclude it if it intends death or serious harm to a person, to endanger a person's life, or to create a serious risk to public safety. The penalty is 12 years in prison." Read the full text here of Senate Bill No. 1083 here https://www.senate.gov.ph/lisdata/3163229242!.pdf

While the US and Indonesia are busy luring and wooing companies from China, our beloved President and his cohorts are busy with Anti-Terror Bill, Online Seller Tax, and ABS CBN franchise. As if our future depends on it. Talk about priorities

Not only that, but the bill also created a new council called the Anti-Terrorism Council, which is the main body that has the power to say who and what organizations are classified as terrorists. The council is made up of the president and his secretaries. This bill also allows the arrest of anyone who is labeled "terrorist" without a warrant being issued by the courts.

If you were arrested, you would be sentenced to a life sentence of 12 years depending on the case. This, however, only counts on ordinary citizens. If you're a public servant, you're only dismissed from your service and a bunch of minor penalties.

The bill also allows wiretapping of anyone who is suspected of being a terrorist thus stepping on our right to privacy. This is also against the constitution of the Philippines, which many of those who voted yes knew. This was from my own understanding of reading the Bill. If I am wrong about anything don't be afraid to point it out.

It's almost like the entire world is sick of being dominated. Politics are in control of power, and they're bought with money that really gives power to the richest. And apparently, they want the worst for the other 90 percent just to make more money for themselves. The cycle is starting over. The rich have taken decisions for the entire population, and they fuc***' suck it. People literally ask for bare minimums. And honestly, they 're still pushing the envelope. More money is going to squeeze more money from the bottom. I really feel that if they gave people the bare minimum they would continue to be used and manipulated happily. We deserve better than that. People are standing around the world together. It's really a wonderful time to be alive.

With tens of thousands of Extra-Judicial Killings (EJK) victims, a hefty amount of loans, being China's lapdog, lack of combat plans against coronavirus disease 19 (COVID 19), and many more atrocities, I'm just glad that the people now realize how oppressive and anti-poor this administration is. #JUNKTERRORBILLNOW
