GENERAL LUNA, Quezon - "Nilagdaan na ang Notice to Proceed ng proyektong tulay para sa Barangay Sumilang. Kaninang umaga ay kasama ako ng mga kawani ng DPWH na tumulak sa Sumilang para ayusin ang Right of Way. Nakipag ugnayan na po tayo sa mga may ari ng lupa at iniintay lang po natin ang kanilang pahintulot. "

General Luna, Quezon Mayor Matt Florido said in a statement made on Facebook.



The Gen. Luna local government has set aside P100M in the next project budget to construct a new bridge in this town.

The bridge construction in this municipality's Barangay Sumilang has been approved.



Florido announced in the post that the 'notice to proceed' for the project had already been signed.

The mayor recently inspected the area with the Department of Public Works and Highways staff to resolve the right of way issue.



Florido claims they have already contacted the landowners and are just waiting for their permission to proceed with the project.

The 47-meter-long concrete bridge will be constructed at the cost of P100 million.
