LUCENA CITY - The people of Lucenahin warmly received and welcomed the cyclists of Ronda Pilipinas 2022.

About several hundred cyclists headed to Diversion Road near the Lucena City Government Complex to witness the players finish Stage 5 Daet to Lucena Lap.

I can see the joy of the spectators every time a cyclist passes the Finish line with loud shouts and applause.

The Marshalls, on the other hand, enormously assisted in the contest as well as several local government offices, including the Lucena PNP, Traffic Enforcers, Incident Management Team, BFP, and others.

Joshua Mari Bonifacio of the Excellent Noodles Cycling Team first reached the finish line in the city and took first place, followed by El Joshua Cariño of the Philippine Navy Standard Insurance, who took second place, while Ronnilan Quita took Go For Gold PH is the third place.

After all the cyclists arrived, they went to the front of the Lucena City Government Complex.

Here the recognition and awarding of the players were held by Public Information Officer Arnel Avila, who represented Mayor Roderick Dondon Alcala.

The winners were awarded ten, eight, and six thousand pesos and other prizes such as jerseys and caps from the good sponsors of the game.

In the speech of Mr. Avila, he congratulated all the organizers of Ronda Pilipinas. He expressed his gratitude on behalf of Mayor Alcala to LBC for choosing the Lucena City Government Complex to host the said activity.

Ronda Pilipinas is an annual professional road cycling competition usually held in the Philippines' first quarter of the year. He said this is the 11th edition of the said game with ten stages. (with report from PIO Lucena/K.Monfero)
