INFANTA, Quezon - Clearer vision and better eye health reached hundreds of residents during a free medical mission in Infanta. More than 200 individuals received free eye check-ups through a recent program conducted by Malinaw Optical Clinic in partnership with the local government.

Dra. Sharice Magat led the medical mission and reaffirmed the clinic’s commitment to making eye care services more accessible to communities. She said the initiative aimed to help residents receive proper eye consultations without the burden of expensive medical costs.

“We want to support efforts that bring healthcare services closer to the people, especially those who have limited access to eye consultations and treatment. Regular eye check-ups are important in preventing serious vision problems and maintaining eye health,” Dra. Sharice Magat said.

During the activity, common concerns addressed included blurred vision, eye strain, and other eye problems that may affect daily activities. Guidance was also provided on proper eye care and the importance of early detection of eye conditions.

“Eye diseases such as glaucoma and cataracts can gradually affect vision when left untreated, especially among older adults. Regular eye check-ups help detect vision problems early and prevent possible complications,” she said.

In coordination with the Municipal Government of Infanta, the clinic conducted on-site eye check-ups and consultations for those who joined the medical mission. The activity formed part of ongoing efforts to bring healthcare services closer to communities in the municipality.

Mayor LA Ruanto expressed support for programs that prioritize the health and welfare of residents. He also recognized the contribution of partners providing meaningful public services in the town.

Accessible eye care services remain important, especially for communities with limited access to consultations and treatment. The medical mission also reflected continuing efforts in Infanta to strengthen community health programs through partnerships and public service initiatives.
