PADRE BURGOS, Quezon (PIA)- Around 100 solar lamps were distributed to 100 elementary students of Pinaninding Elementary School, this town recently by the Department of Education (DepEd) Quezon and Team Energy Foundation through the DepEd’s project dubbed “Ilaw ng Pag-asa” The solar lamps will be used by the students in doing their homework since most of them are residing in ‘off-grid’ area or which Meralco power services do not reach. “Ilaw ng Pag-asa” is part of the adopt-a school program of the Department of Education. Team Energy Foundation is a social development arm of the Team Energy Corporation, a company that operates the Pagbilao Power Station in Pagbilao, Quezon. (Ruel M. Orinday/ PIA-Quezon )
