More than the repair of school buildings and fixtures as tables and chairs, repainting of walls and façade of classrooms, trimming and pruning of towering trees and plants, Brigada Eskwela is not mainly about improving the physical features of the school; instead, it has a silent message to every Filipino; the value of education, responsibility, unity and cooperation.

Brigada Eskwela can be considered as new form of Bayanihan for it develops the spirit of cooperation between the school and community and among its stakeholders. It binds people from all walks of life to fulfil the task for the shared responsibility of every Filipino. It represents the quality trait of being helpful without expecting greater rewards in return. It shapes among us the cooperation seeing that the percussion of this undertaking will benefit the young and the future generation.

Teachers, parents and volunteers take part in the Brigada Eskwela 2019

Brigada Eskwela reflects the very Filipino scenario where every useful Filipino citizen share, contribute and participate in this worthy activity for one common cause. That beyond and amidst limited resources, Filipinos has skilful and schematic ways of sourcing out funds from benevolent donors, thus benefiting each learning ground into a place comfortable and conducive for learning.

Brigada Eskwela is a realization of our shared responsibility and effort to bring out the best among us all. This signifies further that the Filipino can make this nation a great one, that a school can be an effective way to recall one of our forgotten riches our values as true Filipinos.
