ALABAT, Quezon - In a move aimed at strengthening preventive healthcare, Mayor Ays Avellano Canimo has launched a daily free blood test and ECG program in Alabat to expand access to basic diagnostic services for residents. The services include CBC, FBS, cholesterol, uric acid, creatinine, liver function tests, and urinalysis.
“This program is meant to help our constituents detect illnesses early and reduce medical expenses.” “We want everyone to have access to basic diagnostic services.” “This is part of our continuing commitment to public health.”
The said initiative focuses on preventive care and early disease detection to help residents address health risks before they worsen. The program is open daily and is available to all qualified residents of the municipality regardless of age or economic status.
“This is for the poor and working families who cannot always afford laboratory tests.” “Early detection can save lives and prevent serious complications.” “We will continue expanding health services for our people.”
The availability of daily testing helps decongest hospitals and clinics by allowing early screening at the community level. Timely diagnosis can also prevent complications and costly emergency treatment.
It is said expected to benefit residents with hypertension, diabetes, and heart-related conditions. Consistent monitoring through free tests can significantly improve long-term health outcomes.
The municipal government also encouraged barangay leaders to help inform residents about the free services. Officials noted that community participation is key to maximizing the impact of the health program.
Residents may schedule their appointment by sending a text message to the program hotline at 0917-620-0121. Testing is conducted at the Sunrise Building in partnership with Ohana Multi-Specialty and Diagnostic Clinic.
