TAYABAS CITY, Quezon -Thirty-nine teachers and students completed a three-day Trainer’s Training on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) on Friday, December 5, 2025, in Tayabas City. The participants composed the second batch of trainees from four schools in the city.
The training focused on strengthening the participants’ capacity to deliver accurate and age-appropriate information on adolescent sexuality and reproductive health. It also aimed to build confidence among educators and youth leaders in facilitating discussions on sensitive topics.
The activity formed part of the city’s continuing youth development and health education initiatives. It also supports national efforts to institutionalize comprehensive sexuality education in local communities.
Organizers said the program seeks to help prevent early pregnancy, the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other risky behaviors. It also aims to strengthen life skills and self-awareness so adolescents can make safe and informed choices.
The training was organized by the City Civil Registry Office under the leadership of City Civil Registrar Maide Obdianela Jader. The office continues to conduct similar programs as part of its ongoing efforts to promote adolescent health and welfare.
